In 1961, Floyd Alden Schlossberg founded Alden Bennett Construction Co. Inc., building schools, fire stations, park district field houses, and libraries for the City of Chicago. When he was searching for 24-hour nursing care for his ill grandfather, he recognized a need for quality nursing care and affordable healthcare for the aging population.
Expanding on his vision of what healthcare should be, Floyd built his first licensed Skilled Nursing facility in 1970. To further expand his portfolio and manage all aspects of design on projects, Floyd created Alden Design Group, Inc. in 1990.

The original members of Alden Design Group, Inc. were personally selected and guided by Floyd in his concepts and vision. His aspirations for the quality of design and construction inspired them to be innovators in every industry they work in. For 30 years, Alden Design Group (ADG) has worked on over 60 projects, and we continue to create projects based on the beliefs and standards that Floyd started.
Today, ADG carries the pursuit of perfection and the drive to be innovators in every project that we are part of, whether it be healthcare, hospitality, residential, or commercial. Our team has the skills, knowledge, and passion to make each and every project unique.
